“In every painting I create, I strive to capture the feeling of atmosphere and intensity of light; creating a celebration of beauty discovered in our natural world.” – Stephanie K. Johnson
BIO
One memorable project from her 2004 design class was an information kiosk for the city of Duvall. The students offered ideas to the city council, and my design was chosen and built in the heart of the town. Later that year I presented my story to Cooper Hewitt in New York City.
My junior year of high school she helped me to put together a portfolio, which was of a high enough quality, to gain entrance to several schools. This was such an advantage, giving me several great options to choose from.
Dianne encouraged me to pursue a career as a full time artist. I am selling my work at two Fine Art Galleries, and my dream of participating in the Bellevue Arts Fair has now been realized.
Dianne also inspired me to give back to others; starting with our multiple 9-11 gift projects. She guided us to write heartfelt letters and create uplifting artwork for the children who were affected by the events of 9-11.
