Students have access to a variety of materials for creative exploration in order to develop their individual artistic expression. Students may come in for the entire time or a partial time – the price is the same.

Students may repeat Independent Studio as often as they like. Those wishing to apply to art or design schools and develop a solid portfolio should enroll in the more intensive Portfolio Development program starting two years prior to your target college start date.

Portfolio Development 1 & 2 (PD1 & PD2)

The Portfolio Development (PD) program is a companion to our College Prep program. PD is specifically for students who intend to apply to an art or design school.

In PD-Level 1 students begin to focus intently on concept development, expanding skills in a variety of mediums, and on expressing creativity. In Level 2 students continue to work with even more intensity, preparing their portfolio to present at National Portfolio Day. In completing these programs students will have created an outstanding portfolio to aid them as they navigate college applications.
