The Kiosk was a public/ private project with the City of Duvall and the design students of our school.
Students were required to apply deep research, ideate as a team and then independently build models into highly finished prototypes for presentation. The Mayor and City Council thoughtfully reviewed each submission and then selected one of the proposals to be built on our newly renovated Main Street. The Kiosk became a wonderful element that provided a space for the community to share events and city information supporting the action of community building. Providing the students with the opportunity to create and problem solve for real world public projects is a valuable tool for educating future engineers, designers and leaders.
